About us
Nigel is an experienced piano and music theory teacher. His company, Nigel Chapman Music, was set up in 2010. He has around 100 private weekly online clients. Nigel also teaches at a local school, St Cedd's - Chelmsford.
After a 30 year career in contract management working for major banks, Nigel switched to class and piano teaching in 2010. He gained a Music Diploma 2012-14 with modules in Understanding music , Composition and Performance.
Nigel's aim is to make lessons fun and has a patient, enthusiastic, sympathetic approach when teaching students at all ages and levels. He allows students to progress at their own pace, encouraging progress leading to a life-long love of piano playing and music in general.
Nigel teaches students who are complete beginners through to advance players. No matter what level you are at repetition is key.
